An ecologic replica of the famous Antonio de Torres’ short scale guitar

We’ve achieved a free interpretation of the Torres’ short scale guitar, but this time using exclusively sustainable woods. In our opinion, this project humbly comes to demonstrate that a good sound is possible without using endangered species.

We’ve also equiped the guitar with mechanic tunning machines (the original models have usually wood pegs), and resized a bit de rosette.

Real sound

Sound has been recorded live, and there is no post-processing.

This piece is an arrangement of the theme El narizotas (“The big nose man”, in a literal translation), an Spanish popular song from the XIX Century. The sound is here recorded live —just one take—, with a pair of stereo microphones Rode M5. There is no additional post-processing, away from a slight amount of reverb, just added to get a more realistic sound.
